I've been involved on-and-off in the photo industry for almost twenty years. For the past three years I've been concentrating on portrait photography. Trying, with varying degrees of succes, to capture images that best portray the inner temperament of the person in front of the lens.
Everybody is unique. Unique = beautiful. Everybody is beautiful.
I hate my mistakes when I see them in the finished product. But I also love them. Those mistakes. They mean that there's more to do. More to learn. The journey is infinite. And that's good.
In 2009 I exhibited my work for the first, and second, time. At the Treehouse Gallery in Amsterdam. "Male portraits" and "Cityscapes from New York". It's something I'd like to do more often.
I've also recently been giving lessons to amateur photographers. It's almost as much fun as doing the photoshoots myself!
I'm not good at marketing. I don't have an agent. Luckily clients seem to find there way to me all on their own! So I'll only say this once, quite simply, that if you want me to photograph you, it come's with a price tag. But in exchange, I'll give you my very best.
Greetings,
Dave Koster
P.S. I'm fluent in both dutch and english.
